Fletcher Handley on the Map Again – Named Trial Lawyer of the Year
In a ceremony held on November 2nd, Fletcher Dal Handley. Jr. was passed the gavel to be President of the Oklahoma Association for Justice (OAJ). For almost 40 years Handley has been a member of this association and a part of the OAJ Executive Committee since 2012. He is mostly known for being an extremely reliable civil attorney and a founding member of Handley Law Center in El Reno and Oklahoma City.
We also take pride in announcing that Handley was also honored as OAJ’s Trial Lawyer of the Year. This honor is awarded to an attorney for their contribution to the society, it recognizes their significant casework made in public interest, among other achievements. In his time as a personal injury attorney in OKC, he has also received the prestigious Tomy D. Frasier Lifetime Achievement Award in 2015. This was due to his unparalleled contribution and activism to ensure the legal rights of men and women.
He has a Juris Doctorate from the OU College of Law in 1979 and was Oklahoma’s Outstanding Young Lawyer in 1983. 1999 also marked another milestone in his career when he testified in front of the U.S. Senate Commerce Committee on behalf of the American Bar Association standing against a proposed National No-Fault Auto Insurance bill.
His primary focus area of practice was personal injury law and he has mostly assisted people who were injured in truck or auto accidents. He is now an active member of Handley law Center and working as a personal and criminal defense injury attorney in OKC.
