KATHY FUNCK has been a legal assistant for more than 30 years, the past 20 of which working directly with Fletcher Handley. Kathy is married to Canadian County Assessor Ronnie Funck, and they have three grown children and three grandchildren. The ties between the Funcks and the Handleys go back a long way. When Fletcher moved to El Reno in the fourth grade, the first friend he met was Ronnie Funck. They attended the same schools, and grew up within 5 or six blocks of each other. For many years, Ronnie and Kathy have lived in the home Fletcher grew up in, on Country Club Road, in El Reno. Fletcher lives about two blocks away. The connections don’t end there, however. Dianne Handley is a Deputy County Assessor. Her boss, of course, is Ronnie Funck.
Kathy is very skilled in all facets of the legal field. She has worked with Fletcher primarily in the areas of Personal Injury and Family law; but has significant experience in all areas of civil litigation, as well as preparation of Wills and Powers of Attorney. She is clearly the "Radar" of "Mash" fame that keeps the Handley Law Office running.
ASHTON HANDLEY, is a third year law student at the University of Tulsa College of Law. He is a graduate of Loyola University New Orleans with a joint degree in Drama and Communications. He served in the Tulane Navy ROTC Unit and spent four years on Active Duty in the Navy from 2000-2004. His last assignment was with the Quartermaster Corps on board the USS Boxer, home ported in San Diego, California. The Boxer transported the First Marine Division to the Persian Gulf for the initial invasion of Iraq. He spent four months on the Boxer in the Gulf before his release from Active Duty. He wears several awards and decorations including the Navy-Marine Corps Achievement Medal, for his service in the Gulf aboard The Boxer. Ashton does research and works part-time at the Handley Law Office. He expects to join the firm full time upon completion of law school in 2007.
